CHARTER OF DUTIES

AG/MP-4(CIV)

AG/MP-4(Civ), the nodal agency for all Personnel management functions of civilian industrial and non-industrial employees in the Army is headed by Dir (CP) who is also the Member Sec Army HQ JCM III Level Council. Main responsibilities include:-

(a)Formulation, dissemination and monitoring implementation of personnel policies related to Defence Civilian.

(b)Management of civilian manpower declared surplus and scheme of postings on compassionate grounds of employees in Defence establishments. Issue of NAC for Direct Recruitment of Gp 'C' civilian.

(c)Monitoring implementation of Labour Laws and Industrial relations in the Army.

(d)Acts as Official Side Secretariat for the III level JCM Council at Army HQs and monitors formation and functioning of JCM at lower levels.

(e)Renders advice on policy matters relating to Defence Civilian personnel, to Min of Def, other two Services HQs and Inter Service organizations.
